LCG AND EFFECTIVE ALTRUISM
The Philosophy and Economics of Doing Good
LCG considers itself an Effective Altruist organization. This means that LCG contributes a significant portion of its profits to what evidence-based research suggests are the most effective charities and nonprofit organizations in the world. For lack of a more holistic definition at this point, the current driving question for where these donations go is, "How do we save the most lives per dollar donated?"
As of this writing, profits have been donated for antimalarial, parasitic worm, and vitamin deficiency interventions for approximately 11,100 children in extreme poverty.
